Can a customer pay part of an order from their wallet and the rest by card?

Yes. On the Wallet plugin page (open Plugins, then Wallet), turn on Allow paying with wallet at checkout and Allow partial wallet payment. The customer can then use their balance and pay the remaining amount with one of your other payment methods. If partial payment is off, the wallet can only be used when it covers the full order.
