Can customers add money to their wallet themselves, and can I give a bonus for it?

I want to encourage customers to preload store credit, maybe with a small extra.

Yes. Open Plugins, then Wallet in the plugin menu. Tick Allow customers to top up and set a Min top-up and Max top-up. For a bonus, choose Percent or Flat amount under Top-up bonus, enter the Bonus value, and set Bonus min spend so only top-ups of at least that amount earn it. Save, and customers can top up from their account.
