What is the difference between Customers → Signup & Login and Settings → Signup and Login?

I found two signup and login pages in my admin and do not know which one to change.

Both pages edit the same storefront login settings, so a change saved on one shows on the other.

  • Customers → Signup & Login has two tabs. Signup & Login holds the methods and social login options (save with Save settings). Custom Fields lets you add your own fields to the sign-up form.
  • Settings → Web Settings → Signup and Login shows the same login options on one page, without the Custom Fields tab.

Use whichever you find easier, but change a setting in one place only so you do not overwrite your own edit from the other page.
