What happens to my login and checkout forms if Google reCAPTCHA cannot be reached?

A protected form fails safe: if Wcart cannot verify the reCAPTCHA with Google, that submission is rejected with a "Captcha verification unavailable" message rather than let through unchecked. Only forms you ticked under Where to show it are affected.

If you need to switch protection off quickly:

• Untick Enable reCAPTCHA on Plugins → Recaptcha and click Save, or untick just the affected form (for example Checkout / place order).
• Deactivating the reCAPTCHA plugin also stops every form from requiring it straight away.

Turn it back on once things are normal.
