Should I enter my shipping package sizes in inches or centimetres?
The package form lets me pick inches, but the product page shows dimensions in cm. Which should I use?

Use centimetres to keep things simple.
On Settings → Store Settings → Shipping Package, each package has a Unit option. But when you pick a package on a product, its numbers are copied unchanged into the product's Dimensions (cm) fields. They are not converted. A 10 inch box would show as 10 cm on the product.
To fix an existing package, click Edit, enter the sizes in cm, set Unit to cm and click Save package. Then choose the package again on your products and click Save.
