My tracking script is in a Head snippet but it never fires. What's wrong?

I pasted my analytics code into a Code Snippet with the location set to Head, and the dashboard shows no visits.

Scripts placed in the Head location are added to the page but don't run. Head is fine for meta tags, links and styles. For code that must run, use a body location:

  1. Open Code Snippet in the Settings sidebar and click Edit on the snippet.
  2. Change Location to Body start or Body end.
  3. Keep Type on HTML / JS and paste the code with its own script tags, exactly as your provider gives it.
  4. Make sure Enabled is ticked and click Save.

Then reload your storefront and check your tracking tool again.
