My prices already include GST. How do I stop tax being added on top?

Turn on inclusive pricing:

1. Go to Settings → Store Settings → Manage Tax and click Tax Settings.
2. Tick Product prices already include tax (inclusive) and click Save Settings.

With this on, the tax is worked out from inside the price instead of being added to it. The amount the customer pays stays the same as your prices (plus shipping).

Here's how totals are shown:

• Cart and checkout: the subtotal is shown without the tax, and the tax appears as its own line, so the rows add up to the same total.
• Order page, confirmation email and invoice: the subtotal is shown without the tax, and each tax line is marked "incl.".

Each order remembers whether it was placed with inclusive pricing, so changing this setting later doesn't alter past orders. Enable tax on this store must also be on, with at least one tax rate.
