If I cancel an order that included a gift card, is the gift card cancelled too?

No. Cancelling the order doesn't touch a gift card that was already issued. The code stays active until someone redeems it.

• If you cancel before the order was paid or moved to Processing, no code was ever created, so there's nothing to undo.
• If the code was already issued, switch it off yourself:

1. Go to Plugins → Gift Cards.
2. Find the code in the Issued cards list. You can filter it with the status dropdown.
3. Check the Status column. If it says active, click Disable on that row.

If it says redeemed, the recipient has already redeemed the code. Redeeming moves the card's full value into their store wallet, so Disable no longer appears. Decide how to settle that with the buyer before you refund them.
