How does checkout fill in the state and city when a shopper types their pincode?

Checkout looks up the pincode in your store's location list.

• When a shopper types 3 or more characters in Postal Code, checkout looks it up. If the pincode is listed, it fills in Country, State and City.
• If it isn't listed, the shopper sees "(no match — fill manually)". State and City are only filled from a listed pincode, so that shopper can't complete those required fields and can't place the order.

To check your pincodes, go to Settings → Store Settings → Localization and open the Pincodes tab. Pick a Country, State and City to load the list. To add a missing pincode, click + Add, enter the Pincode (required) and save it.
