Do I lose my Sandbox keys when I switch a payment gateway to Live?

I tested Razorpay with test keys and now want to go live, but I may need to test again later.

No. Each gateway stores both sets of keys side by side.

  1. Go to Store Settings → Payment Gateway and click Configure on the gateway.
  2. You will see a Test and a Live version of every key field (for example Test Key ID and Live Key ID).
  3. Fill in the Live keys, set Live / Sandbox to Live and click Submit.

Only the keys for the mode you choose are required when you save, and checkout uses that set. Your Test keys stay saved, so you can switch back to Sandbox later without typing them again.
