Can I give free shipping only to wholesale or VIP customers?

My regular buyers pay shipping, but my trade customers shouldn't.

Yes, with Customer Groups:

  1. Go to Customers → Customer Groups and click + Add group.
  2. Enter a Group name, for example Wholesale.
  3. Tick Free shipping for this group and keep Active ticked.
  4. Click Add group.

Then use the Assign customers → link at the top of the page to put customers in the group. When a signed-in member checks out, their shipping is free. Everyone else pays your normal shipping.
