Can customers sign in with a social account?

Creating a password puts some shoppers off. Can they log in with an account they already have?

Yes. Customers can sign in with Google or Facebook. This needs the Social Login plugin. Then go to Settings → Web Settings → Signup and Login, and in the Social Login section turn on Enable Social Login, then each provider, and enter its app keys (the Client ID or App ID and the secret) from Google or Facebook.
