Why is an item's price on the order higher than the product price?

My product is ₹600 but the order line shows ₹650 for one unit. Did the customer get overcharged?

Usually the customer picked a paid add-on. The Price on an order line is the unit price actually charged, so it includes any add-on charges for that item.

Open the order in Orders → Manage Orders and look just under the item. An Add-ons section lists each choice with its extra cost, for example "Gift wrap: Yes (+50.00 INR)". Product price plus add-ons equals the line price.

Other reasons a line price can differ from your product page:

  • Gift card with a custom amount: the price is the amount the buyer typed.
  • Different currency: every amount on the order is in the currency the shopper paid in, shown by the code next to it, so compare it with your price in that currency.
  • Price changed since: the line keeps the price at the time of the order, even if you edited the product later.
