Which product type should I choose when adding a product?

Pick the type that matches how the item is sold:

• Simple: one SKU, one price.
• Variable: options such as Size and Colour, each variant with its own price, stock and image.
• Downloadable: a digital file delivered after purchase, with no shipping.
• Affiliate: links out to another seller instead of adding to cart.
• Bundle (with the Product Bundles plugin): several products sold together at one price.
• Subscription (with the Subscription Products plugin): a recurring plan. It isn't in the Add product pop-up: open a new product and choose Subscription in the Product type box before you first save.

Gift cards are not a separate type: tick This product is a gift card on the product. Choose the type carefully, because it is locked after the product is created.
