What is the difference between upsell and cross-sell in Wcart?

The plugin has two tabs and I am not sure which one to use for "customers also bought" style suggestions.

They show in different places:

  • Upsell: related products on the product page. The default heading is "You might be Interested in". Use it for better or alternative versions of the item being viewed.
  • Cross-sell: related products in the cart, for the products the shopper has added. The default heading is "You Also Like this". Use it for accessories and add-on purchases.

Each has its own tab in Plugins → Up / Cross Sell with Enable Upsell or Enable Cross-sell, Heading, Products to show and Placement.
