What is the difference between Material variant and Material color in the 3D configurator?

Both change the model's look when a shopper picks a choice. They work differently:

• Material variant: switches to a look your designer already built into the GLB file. Enter the exact Variant name from their export.
• Material color: recolours one part of the model live. Enter the Material name of that part and pick a Color. You can also add an optional Swatch image.

Ask your designer which variant or material names the file contains. If a name does not match, the choice still adds to the price but the model will not change.

Tick Required on a group to make shoppers choose before Add configured to cart works. Until they choose, they see "Please choose" with the group name.
