What is the difference between Ads Manager and the Advertising plugin?

Both sound like ads, and I'm not sure which one I need.

They do opposite jobs:

  • Ads Manager (Marketing → Ads Manager) is for your own ads on Facebook, Instagram and Google. You connect your ad accounts, create campaigns and track results and ROAS from WCart.
  • Advertising (Plugins → Advertising) lets other brands pay to advertise on your store. You approve advertisers, fund their ad wallets and see their campaigns' spend and sales.

Most small stores want Ads Manager. Advertising suits marketplace-style stores with lots of traffic.
