What is the Cost per item field, and can my customers see it?

There is a Cost per item box under the price and I'm worried shoppers will see what I paid.

Customers never see Cost per item. It is for you only.

Enter what you pay your supplier for one unit. Wcart uses it to work out your margin in the profit reports. The price customers pay is still Price, or Sale price when you set one.

  1. Open the product and go to the Pricing card.
  2. Fill in Cost per item.
  3. Click Save.

If you don't track costs, leave it blank. Clearing the field and saving removes the cost.
