I renamed a product and the old link now shows an error. How do I fix it?

I changed a product's URL and the old link I shared on social media is broken.

Add a redirect from SEO Settings → Redirects (part of the Advanced SEO plugin):

  1. Old path: the address that broke, for example /product/old-name
  2. New path: where visitors should go now
  3. Type: Permanent (301) is the normal choice. Use Temporary (302) for a page that will come back, or Gone (410) for a page deleted for good.

Click Add redirect. To avoid this next time, go to Plugins → Advanced SEO and turn on Create a 301 automatically when a slug changes.
