How do I stop a category page from showing up in Google search results?

1. Go to Products → Categories and open the category.
2. Scroll to the SEO card.
3. Set Allow search results? to No.
4. Click Save changes.

This removes the category from your store's sitemap, so search engines are no longer pointed to it. It does not add a "do not index" tag to the category page itself. If the page is linked from elsewhere, for example from your shop menu, Google can still find it and list it.

Shoppers on your store can still open the category. If the page must stay out of Google completely, keep it out of your menus and don't share links to it, and contact Wcart support for help.
