How do I sell digital downloads like e-books or templates?

I want customers to pay and then download a PDF. Can WCart deliver the file automatically?

Yes. Use the Downloadable product type.

  • Under Products → Downloadable Fields, create a business type (for example E-books) with a File field.
  • On the product, pick that Business type in the Downloadable section and upload your file.
  • Set a Download limit and an Expiry (days) so links are not shared forever (0 means unlimited or never).

The buyer downloads the file from My Orders in their account once payment is confirmed. Downloadable products have no shipping, so none is charged.
