I sell printed mugs and need customers to upload an image, but only JPG or PNG files that are not huge.

In Products → Add-ons, select the group and click + Add option: 1. Set Type to file and give it an Option label, such as Your logo. 2. Under Upload constraints, set Allowed file types (for example jpg,png) and Max size (MB). You can also set a minimum or maximum width and height in pixels. 3. Tick Required if the logo is compulsory, then click Add option. Leave the constraints blank to use the defaults set under ⚙ Global settings (Allowed file types and Max upload (MB)).
