How do I add a tracking script or chat widget code to my store?

Use the Code Snippets plugin. Once it is active, open Code Snippet in the Settings sidebar and click New snippet.

1. Enter a Name and choose the Type: HTML / JS, CSS or JavaScript.
2. Choose the Location: Head, Body start, Body end or Footer. For scripts that must run, such as chat widgets and most tracking tags, use Body start or Body end. Code in Head is good for meta tags, links and styles, but scripts placed there won't run.
3. Paste the code. Include the script tags your provider gave you.
4. Optionally limit it with Show on pages (home, product, category, shop, cart, checkout, account). Leave all unselected to show it everywhere. Device applies to CSS snippets.
5. Tick Enabled and click Save.

Use the On/Off badge on the list to pause a snippet without deleting it.
