Do I need to set up SMTP before my store can send emails?

I want order confirmations and password resets to reach my customers. Where do I enter my mail server details?

No. There is no SMTP to configure: WCart sends your store's email for you, and your plan includes a number of emails each month. Open Settings → Web Settings → Email Provider to see it.

  • This month shows how many emails you have used. The count resets on the 1st of the month.
  • Send a copy to lets you add Cc and Bcc addresses to every email your store sends. Each copy counts towards your allowance.
  • Send test email sends a real test to your Support Email (from General Settings).

When the allowance runs out, nothing is sent, not even order confirmations, until you click Buy more emails (top-ups do not expire) or upgrade your plan.

To send through your own account instead, activate the Postmark (email provider integration) plugin. Then tick Send through my Postmark account and enter your Postmark Server Key. Those emails are not counted against your plan.
