Can shoppers place an order through the Cartana chat on my store?

Yes, for signed-in customers, as cash on delivery.

1. Go to Settings → Cartana AI → Settings.
2. In Chat widget visibility, make sure Storefront is ticked.
3. In the Customer chat card, tick Let signed-in customers place an order from chat (cash on delivery).
4. Click Save.

With this on, a signed-in shopper can ask the assistant to buy, and it places the order as cash on delivery or takes them to checkout.

With it off, or for guests, the assistant adds the items to the cart and sends the shopper to checkout to pay as usual. It never makes up prices or stock; it searches your products first.
