Can I use my existing EAN barcodes, and which barcode types are supported?

Some of my products already have EAN numbers from the manufacturer, others have none.

Yes. In Plugins → Product Barcodes, enter the Product ID, type your existing code in Barcode value and click Save barcode. Leave the value blank (or click Generate value) to have one created for you. Supported types (Symbology) are EAN-13, EAN-8, UPC-A, Code 128 and Code 39. Each saved barcode has a Print link for labels. Set your usual type under Settings → Default symbology.
