Yes. Under Settings → Web Settings → 404 Page Settings, pick one of the full-screen 404 designs and edit its logo, message, home button and optional search box.
A friendly 404 page with a search box helps shoppers who arrive from an old link find their way. The same Web Settings group has Maintenance Mode, shown while your store is closed.
