Can I allow only people who bought the product to review it?

Competitors have been leaving fake reviews, so I only want real buyers to post.

Yes. Go to Marketing → Reviews and Ratings, click Settings, and change Who can review:

  • Anyone: no restriction.
  • Signed-in customers: shoppers must log in first.
  • Verified buyers only: only customers who bought the product can review it.

You can edit the messages people see when they are blocked, under Not-verified-buyer message and Login-required message.

Also tick Show verified-buyer badge so genuine buyers stand out. In your admin list these reviews show a Verified tag. Tick One review per customer per product to stop repeat posts, then click Save settings.
