Are my payment gateway API keys stored safely?
Connecting a gateway asks for my API keys. Where are they kept?

They are stored encrypted. You enter them on the gateway's Configure page under Settings → Store Settings → Payment Gateway.
Each gateway also has test and live mode. Use test keys while you are setting up, then switch to your live keys when you are ready.
