Why can't I edit the system templates under Appearance?

System templates are shared by all Wcart stores, so they are read-only. When you open one, it is marked System · read-only, and the preview shows the template as it is.

To change one:

1. Click Clone to edit in the template, or Clone on its card in the list. An editable copy opens.
2. Rename it in the name box, change the layout and click Save Layout.
3. Back on the list, your copy is under My templates. Click Activate to make it the one your store uses.

You can still Activate a system template as it is, without cloning.
