What do the Above, Below, Left and Right space options do on a section?

Space is on each section's Layout tab. It adds empty room around the section:

• Above and Below add room on top and underneath.
• Left and Right add room at the sides.

The choices are None, S, M, L and XL, which are 0, 16, 32, 64 and 96 pixels. Pick Custom to type your own pixel number.

To use less space on phones, click the Mobile device tab first and set smaller values there.

Some sections also have a Zero Padding tick, which removes the section's own built-in padding so it sits tight against its neighbours. Click Save when done.
