Shoppers search for a product on my store and get no results. Why?

The storefront search looks at the product name, SKU and barcode, and every word typed must appear in one of them. It does not search descriptions, categories or tags.

So "cotton kurta" only finds products whose name (or SKU) contains both "cotton" and "kurta". A product called "Handloom Kurta" would not match.

To fix it:

1. Open the product under Products → Products.
2. Put the words shoppers use into the product name, for example "Handloom Cotton Kurta".
3. Click Save.

Also check the product is Active; draft products never appear in search.
