Robots Index or Search Engine Visibility: which one keeps my whole store out of Google?

Use Search Engine Visibility:

1. Go to Settings → Web Settings → General Settings.
2. Set Search Engine Visibility to No.
3. Click Submit.

This blocks search engines from your whole store in robots.txt and tells them not to index your homepage, products and other main pages.

Robots Index and Robots Follow in Settings → SEO Settings → SEO Settings are only the defaults for pages that don't have their own SEO setting, like the homepage and shop pages. Products and blog posts have their own setting, which stays on index, so changing Robots Index alone won't hide them.

Set it back to Yes when you're ready to be found.
