How do I stop one customer from using the same coupon again and again?

Someone used my 10% code on five separate orders. I meant it as a one-time offer.

Set a Per-customer limit on the coupon.

  1. Go to Marketing → Coupons and click Edit on the coupon.
  2. Enter 1 in Per-customer limit (or another number).
  3. Click Save coupon.

When the same customer tries it again, they see "You have already used this coupon". If the offer is meant for brand-new buyers only, also tick First order only.

Combine it with Total usage limit if you also want a cap across all customers.
